Time-Limited Gathering Comes to BitCraft Online

Clockwork Labs has shipped a new patch for BitCraft Online, titled Digging up something new, adding giant berry bush events, gypsite pits, and mud pit dungeons to the sandbox's foraging and gathering systems, according to the official patch notes. The update also adds mushroom identification, new quests, and several quality-of-life fixes.

The additions broaden BitCraft's foraging loop by creating limited-time gathering opportunities. Giant berry bushes must first be treated with nearby water springs before they become harvestable, while several of the new resource nodes can be worked by any number of players during their limited lifespan. The patch also includes forestry and taming progression quests alongside the gathering changes.

What's Included

• Giant berry bush events: Withering bushes become harvestable once treated with nearby water springs, then last a moderate time with unlimited health for passive group harvesting. When they expire, they briefly turn into Citric Giant Berry bushes for 30 seconds, with an increased chance to yield citric berries and a high amount of experience, before reverting to withering and needing treatment again. They are currently available for tiers 1-3.
• Gypsite pits: These can spawn from depleted sand piles, have unlimited health, and offer a much higher chance to yield gypsite than regular sand or clay during their short window.
• Mud pit dungeons: Fully harvested clay can spawn these dungeons, which collapse and vanish after two minutes. While active, they contain resources that yield a high amount of varied foraging materials and can be harvested by any number of players.
• Progression additions: A new forestry quest introduces planting fertile trees, while an Equous II quest unlocks at level 28 Taming and provides a larger mount inventory and storage. Several new charms and instruments for foraging arrived alongside one new item for both carpentry and masonry.
• Quality-of-life fixes: Deployables now deploy and collect in one second instead of three, the Abilities Window gained a search bar, and an incorrectly labeled Equous mount was corrected. The update also fixed more than a dozen common errors and removed the Uncharted Islands Regions as previously planned.

Mushrooms found in the world are now unidentified until processed at a foraging workbench. They can identify into current mushrooms, reckless mushrooms, energizing mushrooms, or, very rarely after tier 2, berserker mushrooms. Reckless mushrooms provide a powerful buff alongside a major stamina debuff. That debuff can be cured while retaining the positive effect by making an antidote from a gathering potion and an energizing mushroom. Energizing mushrooms can also restore stamina instantly when eaten.
