Rayman Legends Retold is expected to be full of life and look better than ever, thanks to modern visuals. A selection of classic levels is set to make a return, in combination with a mysterious sixth realm and four new musical stages. This fresh take sees Rayman and crew come up against a new enemy that is causing trouble from the underworld.
The worlds are brought to life with fully voiced cinematics and an expanded soundtrack. Local play is also making a comeback, as you’ll be able to team up in four‑player couch co‑op and jump into the mayhem that is the competition of Kung Foot.
Even if you’ve already completed the original Rayman Legends, there’s plenty to see and do for new and old players alike. Rayman Legends Retold even comes with a remastered version of Rayman Origins, with enhanced visuals, new collectibles, and more to rediscover.
Following the reveal, Loïc Gounon, Brand Producer, expressed that “Rayman Legends Retold is our way of revisiting what makes Rayman so special, and re-telling that experience for a new generation of players. We wanted to preserve everything fans love, and Legends gave us the perfect foundation to expand Rayman’s lore, its world logic, and how everything connects together.”
Ubisoft Confirms the Rayman Legends Retold Delay
In an announcement via the official Rayman X account, Ubisoft announced that Rayman Legends Retold will no longer be released on October 1, 2026. Instead, the developers have “decided to take extra time to make sure every detail gets the care it deserves.”
Although the new Rayman Legends Retold release date is December 3, 2026, fans will get a further look at the game beforehand. A game overview trailer will launch on September 22, 2026, while a selection of creators will share their hands-on experience that same day.
It has been confirmed that the title has officially gone gold, which means the game is feature-complete and playable from start to finish. Usually, this indicates that a game won’t be hit with any further delays, but that’s not the case with Rayman Legends Retold.
Considering the fact that fans have been waiting 13 years for a new mainline Rayman game (unless you count Rayman Mini, which released on Apple Arcade in 2019, and the Rayman 30th Anniversary Collection), an extra two months shouldn’t feel too difficult to handle.
When Rayman Legends Retold does become available on December 3, it will be playable on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

Rayman Legends Retold comes in two editions, Standard and Deluxe. The Standard Edition comes with the Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition, now in 4K, with 60 FPS, and modern enhancements, such as haptic feedback for compatible controllers and new quality-of-life improvements.
The Deluxe Edition includes the base game, Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition, the Retro Pack with four costumes for Rayman, Globox, Barbara, and Grand Minimus, and the in-game Art Gallery.
If you place a pre-order for any edition of Rayman Legends Retold before the release date, expect to receive an exclusive Hoodlum Havoc Pack, containing two costumes for Rayman and Globox inspired by Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc.
