ArcheAge S Strait of Freedom plots a second quarter 2027 release window

Last month was when we first heard about Kakao’s and XL Games’ plans to launch ArcheAge S: Strait of Freedom, an in-development version of the sandbox that promised to both bring a new experience for fans while preserving the original’s identity. At the time, all we knew for certain was that it was planning to release at some point next year, but now we have a more narrow release window of the second quarter of 2027 on Steam.

Once again, the press release provided is thin on firm details about ArcheAge S itself, but it also does promise that more will be shared with a developer preview video, which will discuss some of the MMO’s design philosophy as well as provide “never-before-seen gameplay” footage. This video is set to premiere sometime later this month, once again without any firm details on when that will be. Once we know more about when Kakao and XL Games will show us its AAS, we’ll share it with all of you.
